DESCRIPTION |
Amberlite IRA-400 is a macroporous strong base anion exchange resin with a polystyrene-divinylbenzene matrix and Type I quaternary ammonium functional groups. Its macroporous structure provides excellent physical stability and resistance to organic fouling, making it suitable for demanding applications where gel resins may degrade.
Water Demineralization: Used in multi-bed deionization systems for efficient removal of all anions including silica and CO₂.
Organic Matter Removal: Effective in removing organic acids and color bodies from various process streams.
Sugar and Sweetener Industry: Employed for decolorization and purification of sugar syrups and other sweeteners.
Chemical Processing: Suitable for acid removal and purification in chemical manufacturing processes.
Hydrometallurgy: Used in metal recovery processes for anion separation and purification.
Manufacturer: Rohm and Haas (DuPont)
