DESCRIPTION |
D101 Macroporous Resin is a non-polar, macroporous adsorption resin with a polystyrene-divinylbenzene matrix. It is characterized by its high specific surface area and physical adsorption capacity, effectively adsorbing non-polar or weakly polar substances from solutions through van der Waals forces. It is widely used for the extraction and separation of natural products.
Natural Product Extraction: Primarily used for the extraction and preliminary purification of active ingredients from herbal medicines and natural plants, such as saponins, flavonoids, and alkaloids.
Food and Beverage Industry: Used for decolorization, deodorization, and purification of food additives (e.g., plant extracts, sweeteners) and beverages.
Pharmaceutical Purification: Applied in the pharmaceutical industry for the separation and refinement of drug intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).

1. Operating Conditions
Adsorption Flow Rate: 1 - 4 BV/h (Bed Volumes per hour).
Desorption Flow Rate: 0.6 - 2 BV/h.
Operating Temperature: Room temperature to 60°C (not exceeding 80°C).
pH Range: Stable within pH 4 - 14.
2. Regeneration (Desorption)
Desorption Agent: Ethanol, methanol, acetone, or dilute acid/alkali solutions (selected based on the target substance).
Desorption Agent Concentration: 50% - 95% ethanol solution (or other suitable solvents).
Desorption Agent Volume: 2 - 3 BV.
Contact Time: 1 - 2 hours.
3. Rinsing
Rinsing Solvent: Deionized water or low-concentration ethanol solution (e.g., 10% - 20%).
Rinse Volume: 2 - 3 BV.
Rinse Endpoint: The effluent becomes clear and neutral.
4. Physical & Chemical Properties
Specific Surface Area: ≥480 m²/g.
Average Pore Diameter: 8 - 12 nm.
Particle Size Range: 0.3 - 1.25 mm (≥90%).
Moisture Content: 65% - 75%.
Wet Bulk Density: 0.65 - 0.73 g/mL.
5. Important Considerations
Pretreatment: The resin should be soaked and rinsed with ethanol and water before initial use to remove impurities.
Storage: Should be stored moist (in ethanol or water) to prevent drying and cracking.
Suspended Solids: Solutions should be pre-filtered to avoid clogging the resin pores.
