DESCRIPTION |
Weak Base Anion Exchange Resin D301 is a macroporous ion exchange resin with a polystyrene-divinylbenzene matrix and tertiary amine functional groups. It exhibits excellent adsorption capacity for acidic substances and demonstrates particularly strong performance in removing organic matter and inorganic acids from solutions.
Organic Matter Removal: Effectively removes organic acids, color bodies, and humic substances from water and process streams.
Acid Absorption: Capable of adsorbing inorganic acids (HCl, H₂SO₄) in acidic or neutral conditions.
Chemical Processing: Used in decolorization and purification of chemical products, pharmaceuticals, and food ingredients.
Wastewater Treatment: Applied in treating acidic wastewater and recovering valuable organic acids from industrial effluents.
Pre-treatment Protection: Serves as a pre-treatment guard bed to protect strong base anion resins from organic fouling.
Type: Weak Base Anion Exchange Resin
Matrix: Polystyrene-DVB (Macroporous)
Functional Group: Tertiary Amine
Ionic Form As Shipped: Free Base
Total Exchange Capacity: ≥4.8 mmol/g
Moisture Retention: 48-58%
Particle Size Range: 0.315-1.25 mm (≥95%)
Whole Uncracked Beads: ≥95%
Shipping Weight: 650-720 g/L
Specific Gravity: 1.05-1.10 g/ml

Note: These are general guidelines. Specific parameters must be confirmed with the manufacturer's data sheet.
1. Operating Conditions
Service Flow Rate: 10 - 30 BV/h
Operating Temperature: 5 - 100°C
pH Range: 0 - 9
Maximum Operating Pressure: 3 bar
2. Regeneration
Regenerant: NaOH (2-4%) or Na₂CO₃ (3-5%)
Regenerant Dosage: 40 - 70 g NaOH/L resin
Regeneration Flow Rate: 2 - 5 BV/h
Contact Time: 30 - 60 minutes
3. Rinsing
Rinse Flow Rate: 5 - 15 BV/h
Rinse Volume: 2 - 4 Bed Volumes
Rinse Endpoint: Effluent pH 7-9
4. Performance Indicators
Operating Capacity: 1.0 - 1.3 eq/L (depending on application)
Organic Removal Efficiency: >90% for many organic acids
Pressure Drop: Typically 0.5 - 1.5 bar/m bed depth
5. Important Considerations
pH Sensitivity: Operates effectively in acidic to neutral conditions; capacity decreases significantly above pH 9
Organic Fouling: Resistant to organic fouling but regular cleaning is recommended for heavy organic loads
Thermal Stability: Avoid prolonged exposure to temperatures above 100°C
Pre-treatment: Pre-filtration recommended for suspended solids >5 mg/L
ADVANTAGES |

High Regeneration Efficiency: Requires less alkali for regeneration compared to strong base resins, reducing operational costs.
Excellent Physical Stability: Macroporous structure provides good mechanical strength and resistance to organic fouling.
Good Chemical Stability: Stable under various chemical conditions with wide pH tolerance.
Large Adsorption Capacity: High capacity for organic molecules due to its macroporous structure.
Economic Operation: Lower regeneration cost and longer service life make it cost-effective for many applications.
